an aside--film 101: 101 movies that found a permanent place in me
May 24, 2016
After finding a few surprises on someone else’s list of top-100 films, I decided to see how closely my presumed tastes align with the real list in my head (with an extra for luck!). Well unsurprisingly the list ended up coinciding with many of my best-loved written pages. My YA love shines strong as I had to include generous hours of teen turmoil. That’s where I start my catalogue, with all genres-teenager (after a first nod to my timeless love The Princess Bride, because when someone else was my age television was called books and this one formed the basis of one of life’s few perfect films). The list continues as the mood struck; and accordingly it is arranged not in numerical order but by sentiment.
