Uprooted
by Naomi Novik
I picked this up in the newly released paperback option, and am excited to delve into the mists and magic of a new world. I have heard only great things. A cross-over of YA and general fantasy, this read is bit heftier than many on the YA shelves; but riding the long summer rays deep into this fairy tale sounds like a good use of late evenings.
A couple more that stuck out as good options to pack with sandy towels …

Love, Lies and Spies
by Cindy Anstey
A Jane Austen inspired romance spy novel; how can that not entertain?

Kissing Ted Callahan (and Other Guys)
by Amy Spalding
Flirty teen antics are always a good fit next to airy sea breezes.
